Enter the User Program Mode

to enter the Function Menu.

until “ACTIVATE PROGRAM” is displayed, then press

. “ENTER CODE
FOR PROGRAM MODE” will display. Enter User 1 code and press

and
the keypad will enter the Zone Descriptions Mode and display the Zone 1 Description.
Entering a new zone description
•
Use buttons

and
2
to position the cursor within the display.

Use buttons

and
6
to scroll through numbers, letters and a variety of symbols.
•
Use buttons

and
5
to erase while moving backwards and forwards.
•
With the cursor located under a word, use button
7
to move the entire word to the
left, and use
8
to move the word to the right.
•
Use the above buttons to enter each character of the description and then press
U
to
save when the zone description is complete.
To advance to the next zone (or to any other zone):
•
Press
R
to scroll forward (and
B
to scroll backward) through the zone descrip-
tions.
•
To save time, use the Quick Word List, explained in the following section.

Programming Zone Descriptions
The zone descriptions which appear on the keypad display may be programmed in Program Mode.
