RAW WATER SYSTEM
DANGER !
When the boat is on the water, water can flow into the
boat via components located below the waterline. Close
the raw water cock (if fitted) or prevent water discharge
before working on the raw water system.
NOTE !
If there’s any risk of frost, raw water system should be
drained.
CHECKING SACRIFICIAL ANODES
Two protective zinc plugs (A) installed on the sea water
cooling system MUST BE removed from end cap (B) and
inspected at regular intervals.
Zinc plugs new part dimensions are 31.8 mm (1.25 in.)
long and 9.5 mm (0.38 in.) diameter.
SIPHON BREAKER
DANGER !
Close the sea cock before any operation on the siphon
breaker.
NOTE !
Siphon-breaker itself is not part of maintenance
sheddule, but check regularly that the ducts are in good
condition during the walk around. Please keep in mind
that a siphon-breaker is compulsory if top of exhaust
elbow is below the waterline.
CAUTION !
A faulty operation of the siphon breaker will lead to
water entry in the engine.
Inspect it regularly and clean it following the instructions
given by the manufacturer.
