Cleaning
Surfaces of the Myosuit that come in contact with the body should be cleaned periodically using a dampened
cloth with an alcohol-free disinfectant.
Storage
The Myosuit should be stored in the box provided. The box will keep it away from unwanted environmental
conditions that can damage the Myosuit.
Inspecting the Myosuit
It is important to regularly inspect the Myosuit to ensure all the components are in good condition. This includes:
Inspect the range of motion of the knee orthoses. When not in use, the knee orthoses should move freely
between 170 degrees of knee extension and 70 degrees of knee flexion. If you feel any resistance
Inspecting the hip ligaments. The elastic elements should be free of nicks, small tears, or punctures which
may cause the hip ligaments to rupture while in use.
Inspecting the padding of the knee orthoses frames and straps. Check for any signs of cracking on the
padding area. Check for any signs that the Velcro is coming off the padding.
Inspecting the straps of the knee orthoses. Check for signs of wear, fading, or if stitching is beginning to
fail.
Inspecting the sensor cables. You can do this by running the cable through your hands and checking for
any lumps, cuts, or rough areas. Look for areas that may be discolored as they could indicate an area of
damage. The sensor cables should not have any joints (i.e. connectors). If any part of the cable looks
breached, please contact MyoSwiss.
If you find any of these elements are torn or worn out, please contact MyoSwiss to replace them with new ones.
