Knee orthoses
The knee orthosis routes the forces from the actuation unit along each leg.

4.1 Thigh brace
Section of the knee orthosis frame that routes the tendons from the back of
the thigh to the front of the thigh.
4.2 Shank brace
Section of the knee orthosis frame that routes the tendons from the top of
the knee to the shank.
4.3 Hinge
The hinge joint facilitates the rotation of the knee orthosis about the knee’s
center of rotation.
4.4 Proximal thigh strap
The straps attach the knee orthosis to the user’s legs.
