Figure 3.1.3. The inner belt has 5 positions to attach the shoulder strap (top) and the hip ligament (bottom). The hook should be
inserted under the desired number and pull outwards to secure it in place.
Donning the Myosuit
The Myosuit can be donned while the user is either standing or sitting. The pictures below shoe the donning
procedure being done on a user that is standing. The same steps should be taken if the user is sitting.
1.
Hang the Myosuit on the user’s shoulders using the shoulder straps (Figure 3.1.4).
2.
Attach the hip belt by first closing the inner belt and then tightening the outer belt (Figure 3.1.4). Make
sure to connect the outer belts with the hip belt safety hook. As reference for a proper fit, ensure that:
a.
The actuation unit should rest at the lumbar region of the back, right above the hips.
b.
The hip ligament attachments should rest over the hip bones.
3.
Adjust the length of the shoulder straps. They should sit snug on the shoulders, but do not need to be
tight (Figure 3.1.4).
4.
Close the sternum strap (Figure 3.1.4).
5.
Attach the knee orthoses by first aligning the hinge to the knee’s center of rotation (Figure 3.1.4).
