CONTROL ELEMENTS
SMART CLOCK Front Panel
1
POWER
This red LED lights up when the unit is switched on with the rear-panel
POWER switch (on condition that the adjusted voltage matches your local
voltage).
2
x1, x2, x4
This switch determines the multiplication factor for the basic clock rate, as
described in 3.
3
WC SELECT
The basic clock rate for all Word Clock and blank-frame signals can be set
here. The LEDs next to them display the choice made.
4
GENERATED FQ
These five LEDs display the clock rates described in 2 + 3.
5
STATUS
These two LEDs display the operating status of the internal reference
oscillator (OSCILLATOR ACTIVE) as well as the video generator
(VID GEN. INSTALLED).
6
(SMART CLOCK av only)
This enables you to change the sign of the pull-up and pull-down
frequencies with reference to the percentage of deviation from the basic
clock rate, described in 7.
7
4.16; 4.0; 0.1; 0% (SMART CLOCK av only)
These pull-up/pull-down factors set the percentage of deviation with
reference to the basic clock rate.
8
x1, x2, x4
This switch determines the factor by which the basic clock rate described in
2 and 3 is multiplied additionally. This setting refers exclusively to the signal
output for the outlets on the front panel.
9
VIDEO; x 256; WC
The signal to be transferred for the front-panel clock outlets is selected
here.
10
WC; VIDEO
These interfaces transfer either Word Clock, Word Clock x 256 or PAL/NTSC
video signals. The output impedances are 75
Ω
(BNC connectors).
Refer to the OPERATIONS chapter for more
information.
