User-Replaceable Consumables
Toner cartridge (DK41200): Suggested retail price, $123.
Manufacturer’s rated yield, 8,000 pages at 6% page cov-
erage. Muratec states that as of December 1, 2001, the
cartridge will hold 270 grams (the tested cartridge held
250 grams) and will yield 11,500 pages.
Photoconductor unit (TS41200): Suggested retail price,
$73. Manufacturer’s rated yield, 16,000 pages.
Ease of replacing photoconductor cartridge: Good. When
the photoconductor needs to be changed the LCD dis-
play informs the user to replace it. The user pulls the top
cover release and lifts the top cover, then slides the print
cover release to open the printer cover. The user can then
access the drum cartridge and lift it up and out of the
unit. To replace the drum unit, the user aligns the pins
on the end of the cartridge with the guides inside the
unit and slides them into place.
Ease of replacing toner cartridge: Good. The method for
replacing the toner cartridge is the same as for replac-
ing the photoconductor. See above.
