6.3.1 Valve clearance – Check and adjustment

Preconditions

Preparatory steps

Remove cylinder head cover (→ Page 80).

Positioning A1 piston at TDC

Install barring device.

Losen plug screw (1) and remove.

Using ratchet and barring device, rotate
crankshaft in engine direction of rotation un-
til the bore (2) on the flywheel is visible in the
center of the exposed opening.
