The Promis e 20378 chips et sup ports one IDE RAID connec tor (IDE3)
and two SATA connectors (SATA3 & SATA4). The ICH-HR chipset supports
two serial IDE connectors (SATA1 & SATA2).
IDE3 is a 32-bit Enhanced PCI IDE and Ultra DMA 66/100/133 controller
that provides PIO mode 0~5, Bus Master, and Ultra DMA 66/100/133 function.
You can connect up to 2 hard disk drives, CD-ROM, 120MB Floppy (reserved
for future BIOS) and other devices.
SATA connect ors are dual high-spee d Serial ATA interface ports. Each
supports 1

generation seria l ATA data rates of 150 MB/s. All connectors are
fully compliant with Serial ATA 1.0 specifications. Each Serial ATA connector
can connect to 1 hard disk device. Please refer to

Fan Power Connectors: CPUFAN1, SYSFAN1/2/3/4/5
The CPUFAN1 (processor fan) and SYSFAN1/2/3/4/5 (system fans) sup-
port system cooling fan with +12V. It supports three-pin head connector. When
connecting the wire to the connectors, always take note that the red wire is the
positive and should be connected to t he +12V, the black wire is Ground and
should be connected to GND. If the mainboard has a System Hardware Moni-
tor chipset on-board, you must use a specially designed fan with speed sensor
to take adv antage of the CPU fa n control.
