• In the case of blocking of either filling or di-
scharge opening, stop the appliance at first and
disconnect it from electric power supply. Only
then remove jammed material.
• Make sure that the motor is cleaned from waste
and other deposits in order to avoid risk of its
damage or potential fire.
• Check the unit for potential damage:
− Inspect the perfect condition of the unit carefully
from the viewpoint of safety of work and proper
operation.
− Check whether all moving parts are fully func-
tional without any dragging and undamaged.
Check their proper installation. These parts
must comply with the conditions for proper
operation and thus also safe use of the unit.
− Damaged safety device or parts have to be
repaired in a professional way or replaced in an
authorized service plant if not stated otherwise
in the instruction manual.
− Never start the appliance if there is any other
person present within the working range.
• If you do not use the appliance, store it (together
with tools) in a dry and closed area where access
of children is not allowed.
• Do not use the appliance on a paved surface
which is covered with gravel where shot material
could cause an injury.
• Before putting the unit into operation, check
whether all screws, nuts, pins and other mounting
components are tight and covers and protective
panels correctly installed.
• It is necessary to replace damaged or illegible
labels with new ones.
• Make sure before start of the unit that the hopper
is empty.
• Always stay outside the zone of material ejection
when putting the unit into operation.
• Prevent the accumulation of the processed ma-
terial within the area of ejection; it could impede
correct ejecting and result in material bouncing
back at the inlet opening.
• Make sure that all covers and discharging com-
ponents are in their places and fully operational.
• Do not change the setting of the motor controller;
the speed controls ensure the maximum opera-
ting speed and protect the motor and all revolving
parts against damage caused by excessive
speed. Contact a service organization in the case
of any problems.
• If the unit is turned off for maintenance, storage
or exchange of accessories, make sure that the
mains plug is unplugged from the socket. Make
sure that all movable parts are at rest and if the
appliance is provided with key, make sure that
it is pulled out. Let the unit cool down before
maintenance, adjustment, etc.
• When carrying out maintenance of the chipping
tool, it is necessary to take into consideration that
it can still be revolving even if the motor is topped
at cover blocking.
• The user's age can be limited by local regulations.
• Always use the machine only in the recommen-
ded position and on firm and level surfaces.
• Always change worn or damaged parts in sets to
avoid unbalance.
• Before use, always check the connections and
extension cable for any damage or wear and tear.
If the cable is damaged during operation, immedi-
ately disconnect it from the power supply. Do
not touch the electricAL wiring until it has been
disconnected from the mains. Do not use the
machine if the cable is damaged or worn.
• Keep your hands and other parts of your body or
your clothing away from the feed and discharge
chutes or moving parts.
• When feeding the machine with material, be
very careful and avoid inserting any metal items,
stones, bottles or other foreign objects into the
machine.
• Do not tilt the machine when it is under voltage.
• Maintain the machine with care and keep it clean.
• For safety reasons, change damaged or worn
parts. Use only genuine spare parts and acces-
sories.
• Never try to override the interlocking function of
the safety device.
• Avoid putting your body into abnormal positions.
Always maintain your balance to ensure safe
footing on slopes. Walk, do not run.
• Warning! Do not touch any dangerous moving
parts before the machine has been disconnected
from the power supply and the dangerous moving
parts have stopped.
• Warning! Do not connect a damaged cable to the
power supply and do not touch a damaged cable
