Predictive text uses a dictionary to
recognise certain combinations of letters
to create words, allowing you to write
text messages faster.
1 While writing the message press
and scroll to and select Entry Mode.
2 The following options will appear:

Primary
■
Numeric
■
Symbol
■
Secondary
3 To select predictive text choose Primary
and press SELECT then OK.

a picture
You can send and receive picture messages
from your phone to other compatible phones
which use text picture messaging, even
when you are abroad.
1 In the Home screen, scroll right to
open Messages and select New
Message.
2 Select New Multimedia Msg
3 While writing your text message, press
and select Insert.
4 Picture is highlighted. Press SELECT.
5 Scroll through the photos and animations
and press SELECT to add one to your
text message.
6 Press OK to access your sending
options.

text messages are fun, quick
and convenient
When a phone call is inappropriate, or you
only want to convey a short and simple
message, you can send a text message.
1 In the Home screen, scroll right to
open Messages.
2 You will see a list of options, with New
Message highlighted. Press SELECT.
3 New Short Msg is highlighted.
Press SELECT.
4 The cursor will be flashing ready for
you to enter your message using
predictive text. With predictive text you
only need to press the key for a letter
once. So, for example, to write the
word orange you would press 6, 7, 2,
6, 4 and 3. You will see that the word
does not appear on screen
immediately, don’t worry, that’s how it
works.
6 Once you have typed in the letters of a
word press SELECT to choose the word
on the screen, or scroll right and left on
the navigation pad to scroll to the
alternative word you want to use.
7 When you have finished writing your
message, press OK.
8 One Time Entry is highlighted. Press
SELECT. This allows you to send a
message to someone not listed in your
phonebook.
9 To search for a name and number in your
phonebook, press PH.BOOK and scroll
through the list, select a contact you
want to send the message to and press
Add. A tick will appear next to the name
in your phonebook. You can send the
message to as many people as you want
to, but note you are charged for each text
message you send.
