for wirefree™
communication with another device
Bluetooth
®
is a radio technology
that enables you to make wireless
connections between your phone and
other electronic devices.
This allows for the easy exchange of
information like contacts and diary
appointments and will allow you to connect
to a laptop to use your phone as a modem.
For the most effective Bluetooth
®
communication, always keep your
Bluetooth
®
devices within 10 metres of
each other.
When you first activate Bluetooth
®
the
phone will ask for the device name of your
phone. You can accept the default name or
change it. Once you have accepted the
name, Name Saved is shown.
Before your phone can communicate with
another device, you need to pair your phone
with a device. Your phone can be paired with
up to 10 other Bluetooth™ devices.
To
pair your phone
:

Make sure that Bluetooth
®
is active on
both devices.

Press
and scroll to Settings.

Press SELECT. Scroll to Connection and
press SELECT.

Bluetooth Link is highlighted.
Press SELECT.

Handsfree is highlighted. Press SELECT.
You will be asked to temporarily power
on Bluetooth
®
. Press YES.

Look For Devices is highlighted.
Press SELECT. You will see
Scanning
in
the display followed by the number of
devices found.

You will see a list of devices.
Those currently connected to your
phone have a tick beside the name.

A device may request permission to
pair with your phone. If the devices
have not been paired you will be
asked to enter the passcode of the
device you wish to connect to. Decide
on a 1-16-digit code of your choice
and enter it into both devices.

To allow this, press YES and enter the
agreed PIN code to create a paired
connection with that device.
To
receive a call on your headset
:
1
If your headset is on and linked to your
phone you will hear a ringtone. Press the
multifunction button to answer the call.

If your headset is off, open the boom
to automatically answer the call with
the headset.
To
make a call with your headset
:
1
If you have voice tags set up on your
phone, press the multifunction button
and say the name of the person you
want to call. The call will be connected.

To make a call using the redial function
press
once to call the last number
dialled. Press the multifunction button
again to end the call.
