the pump connector from the pump. The solar
pump should be kept out of the reach of anyone
who is unfamiliar in its use. Extreme caution is
needed, particularly when children are around.
Use by unauthorised people can lead to danger.
Remote control batteries are not covered by
the warranty, as these are so-called consumable
parts. When replacing the batteries, caution is
needed to ensure the same number and the
same type of batteries are used. Remove the
cover of the remote control and replace the
batteries. When inserting the batteries, make
sure you keep the correct polarity. After changing
the batteries, screw the cover back on to the
remote control. The used batteries must not go
into your household waste and must be disposed
of properly. Refer to our disposal instructions
on page 14. When replacing the batteries, make
sure they are all replaced at the same time or
malfunctions can occur.
During storage, no water should be left in
the pump. In winter, the pump must be
protected against frost. Frost can destroy the
pump. If you do not use the pump in accordance
with the instructions, this can endanger your
health and that of others. Therefore, the
operating instructions of this pump must be
followed very precisely.
Servicing
The repair of this pump is only to be carried
out using original spare parts and only by those
authorised to do so, never by you personally, or
the technical reliability cannot be guaranteed. In
addition, the entire warranty will be void.
Prior to Commissioning
The plug on the solar panel, the pump and
the LED lights all have to be connected to the
switching unit (Figure 2). Subsequently, the panel
should be positioned in a place where maximum
sunlight is available to use. The advantage is that
the battery can be charged all day long.

Be careful when inserting the batteries into the
remote control that they are set to the right po

protector, which must be pushed down before
use to reach the buttons.

Before the first time you use the pump, the
system must be put out in the sun for 24
hours so that the battery can fully charge itself.
Weigh down and fix your pump at the bottom of
your pond, for example with stones. Be very care
-
ful when doing this not to block the water supply
to the pump or your pump will run dry and could
be damaged.
Commissioning
Indicator lights
Power on:
If you activate the pump (by pressing
the “ON” button), the first indicator light will
light up green to show that the power supply is
connected. The pump can only be used when the
light is green.
Low battery:
Due to an existing discharge pro-
tection, the battery is protected from complete
discharge. If this limit is reached, the second
indicator light lights up red every 2 seconds.
This means that the battery level is very low. To
continue using the pump, you should put the
solar panel in direct sunlight for at least 3 hours
so that the battery can recharge.
Charging:
After connecting the panel to the
switching unit and placing it in sunlight, the third
indicator lights up yellow every 2 seconds. The
battery is charged.
Pump on:
To activate the pump, either press
the “ON / OFF” button on the switch unit, or the
“A” button on the remote. The operating life is 2
hours and then the fourth indicator light turns
solid green. Use the pump only when, first of all,
the first indicator light is illuminated and, second,
the battery has enough charge. Solar energy
alone is not enough to use.
Adjusting the Water Flow
The water flow to suit you can be adjusted by the
adjustment wheel on the switch unit. To reduce
the water flow, turn the wheel anti-clockwise
and, to increase the flow, turn it clockwise.
A higher selected flow rate will increase
the height of the fountain as well as the
rate at which power is consumed by your battery.
Remote Control
A-button:
By pressing this button, the pump and
the LEDs can be switched on or off. A short press
on the button is sufficient. If you hold the button
too long, the signal will overlap and the pump will
remain switched off. The lighting begins only with
the onset of dusk.
B-Button:
The fountain height can be adjusted to
five levels by this button.
The remote control keys are fitted with a
plastic protector cap for protection against
splashing. This can be pushed open and shut.
Maintenance and Storage
Maintaining the product only requires a small
amount of time. The following maintenance ins-
tructions should be followed. They will extend the
lifespan of the pump as well as promote trouble-
free use. Before you start any maintenance, you
must switch the pump off.
Be
CAREFUL
when attempting to remove
the fountain pump from your pond for
maintenance. Do not overestimate your abilities.
Falling into the pond can cause serious injury
and can result in drowning!
While the pump is in operation, nobody should
be in the pond or have contact with the water
produced by the pump. This will prevent potential
hazards. Electricity and water can be a very
dangerous combination. For this reason, always
take extreme care when handling the pump.
If the sprinkler height drops, clean the pump (see
page 5). One reason for this could be a clogged
nozzle. Cleaning is best performed by rinsing out
the nozzle with fresh, clean water.
