Continue to drive down the slope using the
throttle to control your speed.
Continue down the slope at a slow continuous
speed. Once at the bottom, stop. Check all loads
are secure and then continue with journey.
Ascending a Slope when Towing
Avoid any hills steeper than 1 in 6. Remember
that a slope can change as you climb up it,
obstacles such as tree roots and stones can
increase the slopes severity very quickly. Be
sure to read all of the terrain before you
attempt any climb.
When descending a slope, stop at the bottom of
the slope and asses the terrain ahead. Select
high range and, if safe, begin the ascent. Lean
back into the seat and brace yourself on the
handlebars.
NOTE: it is important to select HIGH rather
than LOW range. Your Boma is set up so that on
HIGH setting the motor receives full power.
This will be required to climb the slope.
Continue to drive up the slope using the
throttle to control your speed. Once you have
begun the ascent, unless there is no option DO
NOT STOP! Continue to drive until you have got
to the top. It is often very difficult to start on a
slope as apposed to continue moving forward.
Once you have reached the top of the slope,
stop. Check the load is secure then continue
your journey.
Parking
1) Look for a level parking area. Make sure
the ground surface is firm.
2) Switch the switch on the control box to
OFF
3) If you are leaving the Boma for extended
time periods then unplug both batteries.
Parking on a steep incline or loose surface
If you must park the Boma on a steep incline or
loose slippery surface, use the following
procedure;
1) Switch the switch on the control box to OFF
2) If the Boma begins to move as you are
getting out find a better parking location.
3) If rocks or other objects are available,
you can block the wheels for additional
security.
Transporting the Boma
Never operate under power unless seated on
the Boma.
When transporting the Boma in another
vehicle, ensure the Boma is kept upright and
that the power is switched of off.
! WARNING
Operating on excessively steep slopes can
cause the Boma to overturn more easily
than operating on level surfaces or small
hills.
Never operate the Boma on hills that are too
steep for the Boma or for your abilities.
