Riding Through Water
The Boma is designed to travel through water
up to 7” deep. Before crossing a stream, make
sure the water is not too deep or flowing too fast.
1) Choose a path where both banks have a
gradual slope.
2) Proceed through the water at a slow,
steady speed.
3) Watch out for submerged obstacles and
slippery rocks.
4) Avoid getting any electrical elements wet
as this will cause the Boma to stop.
5) After leaving the water always check the
Boma for any water damage.
Towing a Trailer with your Boma
Before towing a trailer with your Boma ensure
that it is compatible with the guidelines set out
by Molten Rock. Failure to do so could result in
serious damage to your Boma. If in doubt,
contact Molten Rock. Molten Rock approve the
use of the Bob Ibex trailer range.
Be sure to observe the weight limits and follow
these guidelines:
Check that the tyres are properly
inflated.
Use the tow bar/hitch to tow the trailer.
Do not tow by tying rope to the back of
the frame.
Do not allow cargo to extend over the
sides of the trailer.
Make sure all cargo is secured before
riding.
Never exceed the maximum weight
limit.
Allow extra room for starting, stopping
and turning whenever you pull a trailer.
Avoid riding on steep slopes when
towing a trailer.
NEVER cross a slope when towing a
trailer.
Attach your trailer to the Boma then
load it.
Pulling a trailer will affect how your Boma
handles and greatly reduces it’s ability in
accelerating, braking and making turns and
other manoeuvers.
Descending a Slope when Towing
Avoid steep slopes where possible. If this is not
possible, stop at the top of the slope and assess
the terrain ahead. Select low range and if safe,
begin the descent. Lean back into the seat and
brace yourself on the handlebars.
! WARNING
Improperly operating over obstacles
could cause loss of control or a collision
and could cause the Boma to overturn.
When you go over obstacles, always
follow proper procedures as described in
this owner’s manual.
! WARNING
Never operate the Boma in fast-flowing
water or in water deeper than that
specified in this manual.
