Slave
‐
Device
Mode
(Single
Mode)
This
setting
sets
up
the
AMIT
Gateway
as
a
standalone
Modbus
Slave
Device.
As
a
Modbus
slave
device,
Local
Modbus
Network
Management
System
is
able
to
read
AMIT
gateway
information
and,
hence,
treating
AMIT
gateway
as
a
Slave
device
within
an
existing
SCADA
Network.
To
allow
Modbus
management,
you
will
need
to
assign
one
Modbus
Slave
ID
to
the
AMIT
gateway
and
specify
which
physical
interface,
Ethernet
or
Serial
Port,
of
the
gateway
the
information
will
be
read
from.
The
AMIT
gateway
would
know
from
which
interface
to
listen
to
the
incoming
command
to
respond.
Check
TCP
network
box
for
via
Ethernet
network,
otherwise,
check
Serial
box
for
via
Serial
Port.
Before
you
proceed,
ensure
that
the

with
other

all

they
are

If
you
are
to
apply

then
you
will
need
them.
Even
if
they
are
checked
they
will
not
affect

will
somehow
confuse
the
