Use File Explorer to view, create, move and delete files and folders. Tapping a folder opens that
folder and displays the contents. The top line can be tapped to reveal a selection to move about the
file system above your current location.
Tap and hold in an open area of the File Explorer box, or individual folder and file icons, to see a
pop-up list of available actions. File Explorer works with one file or tap and drag can select multiple
files.
File explorer can be used to make a shortcut as well. Tap and hold the file you want to have a
shortcut for and then select copy. Move to the directory where the shortcut is desired and tap and
hold on a blank area of the page. A menu will appear letting you decide to copy the file itself or
make a shortcut for the file.
The icons on the menu at the bottom indicate whether you are look at main memory or a storage
card. The third icon makes a network connection. They can be used to switch between storage
mediums. The storage card shown is the last one referenced.
The arrow to the left of the main memory icon stores previously visited locations for rapid access.
New folders can be created in File Explorer. Tap and hold inside the folder where the new folder is
to be made and select New Folder from the menu or use the Edit menu.
File explorer can be used to launch programs by tapping on them or a file that is attached to a
program. For example tapping on an image will open a program to view the image if there is one
assigned.
Program types can be identified by the icon next to the name.
