Serial Number Label
The serial number label, located on the transducer body, lists the unit’s serial number, model
number, input power requirement, and full scale range.

The options for your transducer are identified in the model code when you order the unit. Refer to
Appendix B: Model Code Explanation , page 53, for more information.
Information Label
This label lists the maximum ambient temperature for the transducer and calls out the location of
the zero pot. For 4 to 20 mA units, the label specifies that the 870/872 transducer is approved for
use as a nonincendive device in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, & D hazardous locations per
the Factory Mutual standard FM3611-1986. Under normal conditions, nonincendive devices are
incapable of causing ignition of flammable or combustible material in air.
