Load a prerecorded tape.
AUTO PLAY:
If a cassette with the erasure prevention tab removed is loaded, the unit automatically begins playback mode.

Press the REC/PLAY MODE (+) or (-) button to select the desired playback mode.
• A tape recorded in 3H mode can not be played back in 6H, L18H, 72H or 96H mode.
• A tape recorded in 6H, L18H, 72H or 96H mode can not be played back in 3H mode.

Set the VIDEO to either COLOR or B/W. When B/W is set, colour recordings are played without colour.

Press the PLAY button to start playback.

Press the STOP button to stop playback.

Turn the SHUTTLE ring to the left to rewind the tape when the VCR is in the stop mode.

Turn the SHUTTLE ring to the right to fast forward the tape when the VCR is in the stop mode.

AUDIO PLAYBACK
•
The modes with the letter “L”(L18H) are for audio recording and playback on the linear track.

There is normal sound playback only when a tape recorded in 3H-L18H modes is played back in its respective mode.
•
If a recording is played back in a higher mode than it was recorded, the picture will be played back in slow motion, and
if a recording is played back in a lower mode than it was recorded, the picture will be played back in fast motion.
•
The picture may move up/down or noise may occur when the tape is played back in the L18H, 72H or 96H mode (even
if the tape was recorded in L18H, 72H or 96H mode).
•
During the playback of a tape recorded in LP mode, the colour might not appear on the top edge of the screen.
