4. When the Message “Misfeed detected.” Appears

Misfeed Location Displays

Different procedures are used to clear a misfed sheet of paper depending on the location. First, isolate the
location, then clear the misfeed according to the procedure applicable to the misfeed occurring at that
particular location.
A blinking dot “

” indicates that there is a misfeed at that location. A lit dot “

” indicates that there

might be a sheet of paper stopped at that location.

If a paper misfeed occurs while the machine is
running, the message shown on the left appears
and the machine is brought to an immediate stop.

Clear the misfed sheet of paper according to the
procedure given below.
