Connecting the printer to a network (network interface)

Make sure that the printer is turned off.

Connect the network interface cable to the network interface port on
the back of the printer.

Turn on the printer.
The next step that you should perform depends on the type of connection
to your printer and your network environment type as noted below. See
online manual for more information.

Peer-to-peer printing using TCP/IP.

Peer-to-peer printing using IPX/SPX.

Printing with AppleTalk.

Printing via a NetWare print server.

Only use an IEEE 1284 type B shielded interface cable for connecting
the printer to your computer.
