- Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label
matches the mains voltage before plugging in the
appliance.
- Connect the appliance to a base with an earth socket
withstanding a minimum of 10 amperes.
- The appliance’s plug must fit into the mains socket
properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.
- Do not force the power cord. Never use the power cord
to lift up, carry or unplug the appliance.
- Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
- Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled
cables increase the risk of electric shock.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is dama-
ged.
- If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately
disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the
possibility of an electric shock.
- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if
there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.
- Keep the working area clean and well lit. Cluttered and
dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces, such as
cooking plates, gas burners, ovens or similar.
- Keep children and bystanders away when using this
appliance.
- The appliance must not be placed below a power
socket.
- The appliance must be used and placed on a flat,
stable surface.
- The appliance is not suitable for outdoor use.
- Supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of
damage, and if the cord is damaged, the appliance must
not be used.
- Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
- Do not use the appliance, in the case of persons insen-
sitive to heat (the appliance has heated surfaces).
Use and care:
- Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before each
use.
- Do not use the appliance without water.
- Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch does not
work.
- Do not move the appliance while in use.
- Respect the MAX and MIN levels. (Fig.1)
- Unplug the appliance from the mains before refilling the
water tank.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use
and before undertaking any cleaning task.
- This appliance should be stored out of reach of children
and/or the disabled.
- Do not store or transport the appliance if it is still hot.
- Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
- Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use
renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability
null and void.
Instructions for use
Before use:
- Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been
removed.
- Before using the product for the first time, we recom-
mend running it just with water.
- Before using the product for the first time, clean the
parts that will come into contact with food in the manner
described in the cleaning section.
Filling with water:
- You must fill the water tank before turning on the
appliance.
- It is essential to have filled the deposit with water to be
able to work with steam.
-Remove the water tank.
-Open the lid of water tank.
-Fill the water tank with cold water taking care to observe
the Min and Max levels (Fig 1)
- Close the lid.
-Put the water tank onto its place.
Filling with ground coffee:
- Remove the filter holder.
-Select the required filter for 1 or 2 cups of coffee and
place in the filter holder
- Fill the removable filter with ground coffee (use 6-7
grams of ground coffee for each cup to be made).
- Be sure not to over-fill the filter with too much coffee,
and wipe around the edge of the filter to remove any
coffee grinds.
- Check that the removable filter is correctly placed in the
filter holder.
- Replace the filter holder in the appliance.
- Place the filter handle in the machines brewing head.
Position the handle so it points to the left, place the filter
handle flat against the brewing head, then turn the hand-
le towards the right as far as it can go (fig. 2)
Note: Do not over tighten
Use:
- Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Turn the appliance on, by pressing the on/off button.
- Wait until the pilot light (B) has gone out which will
indicate that the appliance has reached an adequate
temperature.
- During the appliance’s use the pilot light (B) will come
on and off automatically, indicating the heating elements
are working, and therefore maintaining the desired
temperature.
For 1st use or after long time no use:
-Put the filter holder and an empty filter in place, and pla-
ce a cup underneath the group handle to capture water.
-Turn the dial to the espresso setting.
-Let water run through the group handle for 10 seconds
and return the dial to the off (O) position.
Note: Once the appliance has been on for a while, the
