Reinstall the anchoring clamps on the sides of the housing. Do not overtighten
the screws!

Secure the cable at the place of installation, e.g. using cable ties.

Remove the insulation from the cable ends and keep the strands short and it with
wire end caps.

Secure the plug and cable pursuant to the diagram.

Establish grounding/equipotential bonding between devices/system components
(this is essential for Ex applications).
4.2.1
Installation of a cable in the D-sub connector
The connections on the back wall are plugs. The wires must be kept as short as possible
leading to the terminals. The plug housings are conductive (metallic) and thus also part of
the screen. They must be screwed correctly to the back wall.
NOTICE
Material damage is possible.
With cable lengths >50 m, the cable screen must not be connected with the metal
housing, it should be itted only to one side of the intrinsic feed (suchas safety
barrier or intrinsic power supply)!
Before, during and after installation, make sure that the sealing ring is seated
correctly.
Procedure:
1. Open the plug housing (stop clamps).
2. Loosen and open the cable clamp (2).
3. Remove approx. 50-60 mm of insulation from the cable.
