Dual Tone Multi-frequency Signalling
(DTMF) is used in touch-tone dialling
when dialling a number to determine which
keys are pressed. The MinePhone has two
modes:

DTMF Mode

•

Inband sends touch-tone signal as an
audible tone as part of the voice
conversation.

•

RFC2833 specifies a different RTP
message for DTMF digits which reduces
transmitted data.

3.4 Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) settings

The MinePhone connects to a TFTP server on the network to download firmware and configuration
settings every time it is switched on. A DHCP server can be used to provide the TFTP server address to
the phone. The table below describes the settings to connect to the TFTP server. The MinePhone must
be restarted for changes to take effect.
