- Use of engine in speed or duration races;
- Modifications of any kind and entity on the engine;
- Alteration or delete of the serial number of the engine;
- Incorrect installation of the engine on the frame;
- Obstruction of cooling vents.
3 - FUEL
2 times MINARI ENGINE motors require a mixture of petrol and oil.
Use only unleaded gasoline purchased by the distributor with a good
quality octane rating of 98 and add a good quality synthetic oil at
2.5%.
CAUTION: Please note that excessive amounts of oil no longer
engine life, a wrong amount of oil leads to seizure. The
percentage of oil is just above (2.5%). We remember that the end of
the running-in period is defined after the engine has operated for a
time corresponding to the consumption of 30 liters of fuel.
WARNING: Gasoline is extremely flammable
and explosive. Carry out refueling and mixing in a well
ventilated area with the engine off. Do not smoke, sparks or flames
in the area where petrol is stored and where the fuel supply.
4 - STARTING
ONLY AFTER you have checked the tightness of the nuts and got perfect
vision of the status of all components can proceed with the preparations
for the starter motor.
4.1 PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS TO STARTING
Feed the fuel through the carburetTor with manual hand pump or
other device. Vent the carburetor by pressing on the knob vent until
the certainty that a flow of fuel is entered into the carburettor.
4.2a STARTING OF MANUAL MOTORS
After performing the preliminary steps referred to in section 4.1 and
making sure that nothing prevents the movement, grabbing the handle
and gently pull up to the point of maximum stress, recharge in the
string winder and pull firmly.
4.2b STARTING OF ELECTRIC MOTORS
After performing the preliminary steps referred to in section 5.1 and
making sure that nothing prevents the motion, press the appropriate
key and release it as soon as the engine starts.
4.3 CARBURATORE
MINARI ENGINE motors are fitted with a carburettor WALBRO WB
37C (Photo 1).
4.4 CONTROL OF CARBURATION
To carry out a check proper of carburation turn off the engine after
it run for several minutes at half load, unscrew the spark plug and
check the color of the same color to be brown, if not you should speak
to an authorized center for the setup.
4.5 BASIC CARBURATION
See photo 1 - REG. LOW and REG. HIGH
5 - RUNNING IN OF THE ENGINE
To make a good running in, once you start the engine at idle giving
the light accelerated until it reaches normal operating temperature
for at least 10 minutes, done that should check that the calibration
of the minimum is correct. During the first use, or for the first 20lt
fuel suggest not to keep the engine at the top for too long but to try
to vary the rotational speed of the engine. After the first use, check
the carburation. This goes for any work done to replace the heated
parts of the engine.

6 - TURNING OFF THE ENGINE
To stop the engine using the appropriate button.
7 - CLEANING
To avoid burns, cleaning must be done in the engine when the engine
off and cool with a soft cloth and neutral cleaning products.
8 - TRANSPORT
The transport made only when the engine goes cold and you have
to pay close attention to fuel leakage which can cause fires.
9 - ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Maintenance must be performed only by authorized
persons, if the steps it not be clear, please consult your
authorized operators. The routine maintenance must be performed
before each start.
9.1 REMOVAL AND CLEANING OF THE AIR FILTER
Periodically clean or replace air filter as this, if dirty, can affect engine
performance and accelerate the deterioration of some parts such as
piston, cylinder and hose clamps. Loosen the clamp to remove the
filter, loosen the screws and remove the filter cover and filter. Wash
the filter material in hot water using detergent and gasoline and let
it dry. Clean the inside of the box with a filter cloth ensuring that no
foreign objects are inside. Reassemble everything. Every 2-3 washes
the filter must be replaced with a new one. If the filter has a high
concentration of dust or dirt must be replaced with a new one.
9.2 REPLACEMENT STARTER ROPE (MANUAL ENGINES)
Remove the starter from the engine and proceed with the steps below:
1) Remove the node of the handle holding the sun gear making
download slowly to avoid damage and injury;
2) Remove the center screw and its cover, under cover to take care
not to lose the 3 clutch hammers and the 3 small springs (if worn,
change the hammers);
3) Remove the plastic wheel and the old cord;
4) Make a knot at one end of the new cord, insert it into the hole and
wrap the wheel following the direction of entry of the rope;
5) Place the plastic wheel in place, replace the clutch hammers, springs
and screw the cap;
Loading of the return spring:
1) Take the head of the cord leaving him out for 5-7cm from the
appropriate slot located on the outer side of the wheel;
2) Make to the wheel 3 full turns counterclockwise so as to find
ourselves in front of the exit hole in the casing;
3) Pass the cord through the hole in the crankcase while holding the
plastic wheel;
4) Insert the handle, the washer and make a tight knot;
5) Replace the starter on the engine by tightening the screws of the
clamps to the table.
9.3 REPLACEMENT SPRING STARTER
Remove the starter from the engine and proceed with the steps below:
1) Remove the center screw, lift the lid of the hammers and the spring
which is located on the pin, then the plastic pulley where the hammers
and their springs will be placed ;
2) Place the recoil spring compared to the plastic pulley as photo 2,
the tab of the spring must be positioned in the side of the pulley
shown;
3) Add the grease, put the pulley in the guide pin to the point of
attachment of the spring;
4) Grease the hammers while paying attention to the springs, add
some medium strength thread locker on the center screw and tighten
firmly.

9.4 REPLACEMENT MEMBRANES OF THE CARBURETTOR
1) Remove the air box by loosening the hose clamp;
2) After removing the throttle cable from the carburettor, fuel hose
and that of the depressor, loosen the Allen screws and remove the
carburetor from the engine;
3) Remove the upper cover;
4) Remove the membrane to be replaced, clean the filter and attach
the new membrane, making sure you fit the fork rocker in the groove
located under the membrane;
5) Replace the cover and tighten the 4 screws in an appropriate manner;
6) Remove the cover bottom;
7) Remove the membrane to be replaced, clean the filter and place
the new diaphragm;
8) Replace the cover and tighten the 4 screws in an appropriate manner;
9) Reassemble the carburetor faendo attention to reposition properly
tighten all parts of the hardware to the table 13.2;
10) Reconnect the fuel hose, vacuum hose, the throttle cable and the
airbox.
