Installation
Check the Position of the Belt Keeps
This unit is equipped with three belt keeps to assist in
maintaining the proper position of the blower drive belt.
One is located on the blower pulley (
A,
Figure 29
), the
second is located on the stationary idler pulley (
B
) and
the third is located on the adjustable idler pulley (
C
).

Blower Pulley Belt Keep:
1. Position the blower pulley belt keep (
A,
Figure

) as close the the blower pulley (
B
) as possible
without contacting it and the tighten the blower
pulley belt keep hardware (
C
) to secure it in place.
Stationary Idler Pulley Belt Keep:
1. Position the stationary idler pulley belt keep (
A,
Figure 31
) so that right side of the belt keep is
parallel to the bend in the idler plate (identified as
“1”,
Figure 31
) and then tighten the stationary idler
belt keep hardware (
B
) to secure it in place.
This is necessary to prevent accidental contact
between the stationary belt keep and the adjustable
idler pulley during operation
Adjustable Idler Pulley Belt Keep:
1. Position the adjustable idler pulley belt keep
(
C,

) so that the face of the belt keep
is parallel to the face of the idler arm bracket
(
identified as “2”;

) and tighten the
adjustable idler pulley belt keep hardware (

) to
secure it in place.
