Installing the Collector Assist Spring
(IS600Z Models Only)
Due to the extra weight of the collection system, it is
necessary to install the collector assist springs (
A,
Figure 3
) on the IS600Z models.
1. Park the machine on a flat, level surface.
Disengage the PTO, stop the engine and engage
the parking brake.
2. Chock the front wheels to prevent the machine from
rolling. Raise the rear of the machine and secure
with jack stands. The jack stands must be under
the bumper.
This will allow the shock to be relaxed and will
allow maximum space for the installation of the
collector assist spring.
3. Install the collector assist spring to the frame of the
machine and secure using the two (2) 3/8-16 X 1”
bolts (
B
), 3/8 washers (
C
), and 3/8 nylock flange
nuts (
D
).
4. Repeat the process for the other side of the unit.
5. Remove the jack stands from under the machine.
6. Remove the jack from under the suspension cross
member.
