CALIBRATING INTERMITTENT FLOW WATER INLETS
Intermittent flow inlets are used to satisfy a predetermined water level or special
condition. For example, the optional Flush E nhance inlet opens to flush Module 1 at
mid cycle. This is accomplished by programming on the MILTR ON, when and for
how long the valve opens.
Although all intermittent flow inlets have throttling valves and some also have flow
meters, it is usually preferable to leave throttling valves wide open in order to inject
the required quantity as quickly as possible. These inlets can however, be throttled
down if conditions such as unusually high water pressure dictate. The valve
"On-Time" can usually be determined by observation and a few trial settings. The
methods of control for these inlets are as follows:
