È SUPPORT ROLLER REPLACEMENT
APPLICABILITY: 76032 CBW
SCOPE: H ow to raise basket off of rollers, replace and adjust rollers.
Ê GENERAL
The support rollers on every CBW module are adjusted at the factory for correct
alignment and weight distribution. With proper lubrication, these components
should provide long service life under continuous use. If it becomes necessary to
replace support rollers, the following procedures will simplify the task of replacement
and insure that the new rollers are also properly adjusted.
NOTE : Two repair kits for support rollers are available from the MILNOR factory (see
"Tunnel R epair Kits" elsewhere). One provides the bearing and seals for repair of one
support roller and the other provides the entire wheel assembly.
Proceed as follows for each roller to be
replaced:
1. Using a "come-along" and cable
wrapped under the cylinder and
secured to the upper longitudinal
braces as shown in Figure 1 at right,
raise the basket just until it is
suspended above the rollers. The
rollers should then turn freely.
2. Referring to Figure 2, next page, at-
tach one end of a rope to the roller
bracket and run the other end over
the top interconnecting frame.
Secure the rope (not on the temp
controller bracket).
3. Remove the grease fitting attached to
the center of the roller, and secure it
out of the way.
