5-14. Power Source Selection Menu

When the controller is turned
on, the Power Source Selec-
tion Menu allows the operator
to select a power source.
First Time Controller Is Turned
On
The controller automatically goes
into the Power Source Selection
Menu. The controller displays
“DIM” on the Upper Display and
“1000” on the Lower Display, mean-
ing that a Dimension 1000 is the se-
lected power source.
At power up, the operator has five
seconds to select a power source
from the list shown on the display.
Operator may scroll through the list
of power sources by using the Ad-
just control. After selecting a power
source the operator has five sec-
onds to change to a different power
source or begin welding. After mak-
ing a power source selection, the
operator may press the Program
Button to avoid having to wait the
five seconds. When turning off the
controller, the selected power
source will be retained.
Next Time Controller Is Turned
On
The controller will display the last
selected power source. The opera-
tor has five seconds to select
another power source, or press the
Program Button to exit the Power
Source Selection Menu.
Disabling The Power Source
Selection Menu
Once the power source has been
selected the Power Source Selec-
tion Menu may be disabled using
the Auxiliary Menus. See Section
6-10.
