5-8. Wire Feeder Rear Panel Connections

! Turn Off power source and
disconnect both work cables and
electrode cable from feeder.
1 Work Clamp Female Connector
Push work cable male connector into
female connector on feeder and turn 1/4
turn clockwise.

Work Cable From Power Source Male
Connector
Push work cable female connector over
male connector on feeder and turn 1/4 turn
clockwise.
3 Electrode Cable From Power Source
Male Connector
Push electrode cable female connector
over male connector on feeder and turn 1/4
turn clockwise.
4 Shielding Gas Fitting
Connect fitting on end of shielding gas hose
to fitting on feeder.
This feeder has an optional shielding
gas filter that requires special attention
when cleaning. See Section 7-2 for
proper cleaning instructions.

2 Gas Inlet On Smart Feeder
Attach flow meter gas hose to gas inlet on
Smart Feeder using 11/16 in. Wrench.
3 Gas Inlet On Flow Meter
Attach shielding gas supply hose to gas in-
let on flow meter.
