Possible reasons for increased levels of foaming
Problem
Possible cause and solution
Excessive foaming during
the wash cycle.
You are using an unsuitable detergent.
Only use detergent suitable for use in commercial wash-
ing machines. Domestic laundry detergent is not suit-
able.
You are using too much detergent.
Dispense detergent following the instructions on the
packaging and in accordance with local water hardness.
You are using very soft water.
In areas with water hardness level 1, add less detergent
in accordance with the detergent manufacturer’s instruc-
tions.
The items of laundry are only slightly soiled.
For lightly soiled laundry, add less detergent in accor-
dance with the detergent manufacturer’s instructions.
There are residues in the laundry (e.g., from detergent).
Additionally, pre-rinse the laundry without setting a tem-
perature and using detergent.
The load is too small.
Reduce the amount of detergent.
The drum speed is too high during the wash cycle.
Reduce the drum speed and wash rhythm.
Stretching of large items
Problem
Possible cause and solution
Large items stretched dur-
ing spinning
Large items can get stretched during spinning.
This can mostly be prevented by reprogramming. Con-
tact Customer Service.
Continuing a program after a power failure
If a running program is interrupted, e.g., by a power outage, the program can be continued
when power is restored.
Switch on the washing machine with the
button.
Then press “START”.
The program will then continue with the next program stage.
