For the automatic ice cube maker to
operate it must be connected to the
domestic water supply.
Turning the ice cube maker on

Turn the freezer section on.
^
Touch the button for switching the ice
cube maker on and off so that the ice
cube symbol
®
to the right of the
display comes on,
or
^
Press the On/Off button on the ice
cube maker. The indicator light will
come on.

Close the upper freezer drawer.
Ice cubes can only be produced if
the upper freezer drawer is
completely closed and the ice cube
drawer is installed correctly.
After the ice cube maker is turned on
for the first time it can take up to 24
hours for the first ice cubes to drop out
of the ice cube maker into the drawer.
Do not consume or use the first
three batches of ice. This applies
both to using the appliance for the
first time and also using it after it has
not been used for a long period of
time.
The ice cube maker can make up to
120 ice cubes in 24 hours (if the
temperature in the freezer section is
-18°C (0°F).
Ice cube production is halted
automatically as soon as the ice cube
drawer is full.
Making larger quantities of ice cubes
The amount of ice cubes that the
appliance makes in 24 hours depends
on the temperature in the freezer
section. Select Super Freeze
ª
if you
want to increase the production rate
(up to 150 cubes in 24 hours).
However, this will also increase the
energy consumption of the appliance.
The ice cube maker starts producing
again as soon as the drawer is closed.
