For doors on stainless steel
appliances:
The appliance doors feature a
high-quality surface coating, which
protects against dirt and grime and
facilitates cleaning.
Do not use
the following to
clean/condition the doors
– Stainless steel cleaner:
This will damage the surface.
– Miele stainless steel conditioner:
This will leave visible streaks.
Ventilation openings
^
The ventilation openings should be
cleaned with a brush or vacuum
cleaner on a regular basis. Dust
buildup increases the appliance's
energy consumption.
Compressor and metal coils
on back of the appliance
The compressor and the metal coils
(heat exchanger) on the back of the
appliance should be dusted at least
once a year. Dust accumulation causes
the appliance to consume more energy.
When cleaning, take care not to
break off, kink or otherwise damage
any cords or other components.
Door seal
Do not use any grease or oil on the
door seals as these will cause the
seal to deteriorate and become
porous over time.
The door seals should be cleaned
regularly using clean water only and
then wiped completely dry with a soft
cloth.
After cleaning
^
Return all shelves and accessories to
the refrigerator.
^
Place food back in the refrigerator
and close the appliance doors.
^
Reconnect the appliance to the
electricity supply and switch it on.
^
Switch on the SuperFreeze function
so that the freezer can cool down
quickly.
^
When the temperature in the freezer
is cold enough, return the food to the
freezer.
^
Press the SuperFreeze button to
switch off the SuperFreeze function.
