Placing the dish in the oven
^
Insert the glass tray on shelf level 1.
^
The dish containing the food should
always be placed in the middle of the
glass tray.
Placing the food directly on the floor
of the oven would give unsatisfactory
and uneven results as the
microwaves would not be able to
reach the food from below.
Cover
The cover:
– prevents too much steam escaping,
especially when cooking foods which
need longer to cook, such as
potatoes.
– speeds up the cooking process.
– prevents food from drying out.
– helps keep the oven interior clean.

When using Microwave
_
, always
cover the food with a lid or cover
made of microwave safe glass or
plastic.
These are available from retail
outlets.
Alternatively, use a clingfilm
recommended for use in a microwave
oven (pierce as instructed by the
manufacturer). Heat can cause normal
clingfilm to distort and fuse with the
food.
