Under no circumstances use a
steam cleaner to clean this appli-
ance. Pressurised steam could
cause permanent damage to the
surface and to components, for
which the manufacturer cannot ac-
cept responsibility.
Never use cleaners containing
alkalines, soda, acids or chlorides or
abrasive cleaning agents, hard
brushes, scouring pads and cloths
or steel wool. These attack the sur-
faces and cause damage.
Do not leave accessories in the oven
when the oven is being used.
E-Cloth
A microfibre "E-Cloth" is available from
the Miele UK Spare Parts Department,
Part Number 98013530, which is suit-
able for cleaning surfaces such as
stainless steel, glass, plastic and
chrome without the use of chemicals. It
can be washed 300 times.
Appliance front
The appliance front and controls should
be cleaned using a mild solution of hot
water with a little washing up liquid, ap-
plied with a damp cloth. Wipe dry using
a soft cloth.
On aluminium ovens (see data plate)
parts of the appliance front made from
aluminium and the metal coloured lac-
quered controls are susceptible to
damage from scratches and abrasion
as well as from alkaline and acidic sub-
stances. It is therefore essential to
clean these with care as described
above. Do not use cleaning agents for
stainless steel or descaling agents on
these surfaces. Soiling should be wiped
off as soon as possible after using the
appliance. If the soiling is left for a long
time it can have a damaging effect on
the surfaces.
On stainless steel appliances the front
should be cleaned using a proprietory
non-abrasive cleaning agent designed
for use on stainless steel surfaces. Ap-
ply with an even pressure following the
direction of the "grain". Wipe over with a
damp cloth and then rub dry with a soft
cloth.
