Seal between the appliance and the
worktop
The sealing strip under the edge of the
top part of the appliance provides a
sufficient seal for the worktop.
Do not use any additional sealant
(e.g. silicone) between the
appliance and the worktop.
This could cause difficulties if the
appliance ever needs to be taken
out for servicing and possibly result
in damage to the appliance or the
worktop.
Tiled worktop
Grout lines
a
and the hatched area
underneath the appliance frame must
be smooth and even. If they are not, the
appliance will not sit flush with the
worktop and the sealing strip
underneath the appliance will not
provide a good seal between the
appliance and the worktop.
Tiled worktops must be a minimum
of 5 mm thick to ensure the surface
temperatures of the combustible
surfaces underneath the tiles do not
exceed 50 K above ambient.
