To avoid the risk of accidents and damage to this mobile unit
please read these instructions carefully before using it for the first
time.
Keep these instructions in a safe place where they are accessible
to users at all times.
Please also read the operating instructions for your washer-
disinfector and pay particular attention to the Warning and Safety
instructions.
The mobile unit is approved solely for the applications specified in
the “Areas of application” chapter of these operating instructions. Ap-
plications that go beyond those listed and use of the mobile unit with
additional components from the Miele product range are described in
the operating instructions for the components or are to be agreed
with Miele.
New load carriers must be cleaned in the washer-disinfector
without a load prior to first use.
Inspect all mobile units, baskets, modules and inserts daily as de-
scribed in the “Maintenance” section in the Operating instructions for
the washer-disinfector.
For your own safety, wear gloves and, if necessary, a surgical
mask and protective goggles when sorting the instruments and un-
loading the machine. To avoid recontamination, wear clean gloves
when unloading the machine.
Ophthalmic instruments should only by reprocessed in a machine
specifically dedicated for this application
. This way there is no risk
of residues from other disciplines being deposited in narrow lumened
hollow instruments.
Synthetic cover nets, e.g. Miele cover nets A 2 or A 3, must not be
used in this machine.
When reprocessing ophthalmic instruments do not dispense rins-
ing agent.
The reprocessing programme used should include thermal disin-
fection, and the chemical agents used must be suitable for the mater-
ial quality of the wash load.
The last but one and the final rinse should be carried out with fully
demineralised water wherever possible.
