(Macintosh) The icon for my drive does not appear on the desktop after system start-up, even
though the drive is receiving power and can be seen in the disk utility software.
•
Turn on your drive during Macintosh start-up, rather than before.
This procedure is sometimes necessary due to the differences among SCSI controller chips.
A module won’t come out of the DataDock.
•
Push the module into the DataDock until you hear its latch release, then try removing the module.
The DataDock’s temperature light is flashing and the alarm is sounding.
•
Make sure that the fan is operating and free from obstructions.
If the fan is not operating, turn off the DataDock and contact MicroNet Technical Support.
•
Check that the air vent slots at the front and side of the DataDock are free from obstruction.
•
Remove each module to see if the temperature alarm stops. If the alarm stops as a module is
removed, the module is too hot.
!
If the alarm continues to sound after both modules are removed, the DataDock itself, is too hot.
Turn off the DataDock and contact MicroNet Technical Support.
