4.5.2 ERASE ALL
You can erase any of the HD Blocks in order to write more data to the Block. If a Block indicates Free, it
cannot be erased because there is nothing to erase.
CAUTION:
Selecting
OVERWRITE
erases all data within that Block.
This data cannot
be recovered!
Make sure you copy the Block data to at least one CD if you will need to
use this data later. The data in other Blocks remains intact.
1. At the
ERASE ALL?
screen, press
OK/Enter
.
2. Choose the desired Block with the
Down/Up
buttons.
3. Press
OK/Enter
to erase the Block. You will not be asked “Sure?” Complete this step only if you are
certain you want to erase all data in the specified Block.
4.5.3 SCMS CHANGE
Note: This function is not available in firmware versions 1.00b or below. Please check with Microboards
for upgrade availability.
The StartREC 400 ignores SCMS (Serial Copy Management System) data from the source material so that
you can apply one of three levels of copy protection to the target CD(s).
1. At the
SCMS CHANGE?
screen, press
OK/Enter
.
2. Use the
Down/Up
buttons to select one of the following levels of protection:
§
FREE
The target disc allows unlimited digital duplication.
§
PROHIBIT
The target disk cannot be duplicated digitally.
4.5.4 REC MODE CHANGE
This menu determines whether track markers will be inserted manually or automatically.
1. At the
REC MODE CHANGE?
screen, press
OK/Enter

2. Choose between
AUTO MARK
or
MANUAL MARK
with the
Down/Up
buttons.
3. Press
OK/Enter

The display reverts to the
REC MODE CHANGE?
screen.
