6.5.1 Features
The Functional Safety Module FSM 2.0
– STO serves as an expansion of the Servo drive ARS 2000 FS.
It reaches the function “Safe Torque Off” (STO) with SIL3 according to EN 61800-5-2 / EN 62061 /
IEC 61508 or category 4 / PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1.
It reaches the function “Safe Torque Off” (STO) with SIL3 in accordance with EN 61800-5-2 and PL e
in accordance with EN 13849-1.
It is equipped with a floating feedback contact.
It can be simply plugged into the basic unit from the outside, so that it can be used for upgrading
systems that are already equipped with ARS 2300 FS Servo drives.
It is exclusively suitable for the ARS 2000 FS product range.
It offers a user-friendly parameterisation with the Metronix ServoCommander
®
software.
CAUTION!
The function STO as a sole safety function is not sufficient for drives under permanent
torque, such as hanging loads.
