Verifications
Certain devices that can connect to SKALA require verifications. Usually these occur daily,
but can be more or less frequent. Verifications always require a standard such as weights
for a scale or salt standards for water activity. SKALA can log these results as well.
The specific standards for each instrument will be assigned in SKALA Control. In these
control settings a time period will also be set. If the instrument has not been verified within
that time period, the system will prompt the user to take a verification. A verification can
also be started on demand from the devices page.
When a verification starts the Hub will walk you through the steps including making sure the
device is clean and clear of debris, selecting the correct standard, and capturing that data. If
your device is a SKALA native device, it will also set the offset for you. If the wrong standard
is used or if the verification fails, the device will have to be rechecked and the process
restarted.
The results of verifications are saved in SKALA control under the specific instrument.
