With this procedure, the displacement factor cos 

φ

 is used as the control 

value. The AI requirement is provided by the grid operator as an analogue 
input signal, e.g. analogue ripple control receiver and connected to the 
analogue input of the PCU.  

The value is provided by the grid operator as an analogue input signal (4 – 
20mA).  

The displacement factor is calculated from the analogue value via a linear 
equation. For the configuration, the value pairs P1 and P2 are required, 
which are at the end of the line. Furthermore, the excitation type per point is 
required.
