As shown above, the Meridian PX2300 series digital fiber optic data modems can be easily configured
into string or ring networks. Key factors in their networking and expansion capabilities include the ability
to drop, add or repeat channels at any modem without signal degradation. Commonly referred to as a “
counter – rotating “ ring, the self-healing ring (SHR) architecture allows easy network expansion up to 99
slave modems, add or drop channels at any modem on the network and provide signal path redundancy
