NOTE:
You cannot use all 120 circuits and electrical items with only one 30 amp
source. It may pop the shore power circuit breaker. Check the ammeter on the power
panel to see how much power you are using. You may have to alternate between electric
cook-top, water heater, and battery chargers in order to avoid popping the shore power
breaker. Priority should always be given to the inverter which will charge all the
batteries.
C. GENERATOR STARTING AND USE
When shore power is unavailable, the generator can fully power the boat. It is a good
idea to run the generator every day that you have not been connected to shore power to
recharge all the batteries. Monitor the battery voltage levels to determine how long to run
the generator. The generator may be operated while underway. Make sure water is
coming out of the generator exhaust under the starboard side of the boarding step before
using while underway.
Access the main Power Panel:
1. To start generator simply press the generator start switch in the 120 volt electric
cabinet. Keep the start switch depressed until the generator starts and the panel gets a
green light. the green light indicates the generator if running and fully functional.
2. Next, turn 120 selector switch to Ship Power. This will put the generator online.
