2.5 Room Signage
Sign Description
Label the operating room with the following sign, which is included with delivery.
In the event of an incident such as a fire, the sign will warn the emergency services
that batteries are present in the room.
• A qualified electrician is a person possessing certified knowledge and experience in the fields of electricity
and electronics.
• Their professional training, experience, and knowledge enable them to comply with relevant regulations,
assess the work that needs to be performed, and detect potential hazards.
• They need to have read and understood the whole of this document.
• They need to comply with all of the instructions it contains, in particular the safety instructions, at all
times.
3.3 Qualified Electricians
3. Maintenance and Faults
WARNING
The individual energy storage modules can only be repaired by specialized repair technicians
authorized by Mercedes-Benz Energy. Never try to open or make repairs to the energy storage
module yourself.
3.1 Maintenance
The Mercedes-Benz Energy Storage Home is maintenance-free, but we recommend allowing a qualified
electrician to carry out an annual insulation test on the system. During testing, the insulation resistance
from the poles to the protective earth should be checked using a suitable means of measurement.
3.2 Faults
Faults, warnings, and events in the Mercedes-Benz Energy Storage Home are displayed by the inverter in
the form of a code. The Mercedes-Benz Energy Storage can correct most faults itself. If the same code is
displayed for a long time, please contact your sales representative or installation technician.
