
Folding the seat backrest forwards
With the EASY-ENTRY system, the seat moves
forwards if you have folded the backrest for-
wards and you pull the seat forwards horizon-
tally. This makes it easier for passengers to get
into and out of the rear compartment.
The head restraint also lowers on vehicles with
electric seat adjustment.

Vehicles without memory function:
release the head restraint if necessary and
push it down.

Pull seat release handle

and fold the back-
rest forwards until it engages.

Push the seat as far forwards as it will go.

Vehicles with memory function: pull seat

and fold the backrest for-
wards as far as it will go.
The seat moves automatically to the foremost
position.

Vehicles without memory function: push
the seat backrest back horizontally until the
seat reaches the position that was previously
set.

Fold the seat backrest backwards until you
hear it engage. Do so in a smooth manner.
If the rear seat backrest is not engaged, this
will be shown in the multifunction display in
the instrument cluster. A warning tone also
sounds.

After the seat backrest has been folded back,
check the position of the head restraint and
set it to the correct position.

Vehicles with memory function: swing
back the seat backrest.

The seat moves automatically to the stored
position.
If it is no longer possible to adjust the seat to the
desired position, e.g. when there is luggage in
the rear compartment footwell or when a
passenger enters the rear compartment:

The seat engages in the new seat fore-and-aft
adjustment position.

port for your back.
