CAUTION: The brick panels are fragile.  Handle them with care.

Installation Instructions

1.

Remove the fire screen of the X-62 Gas Log Insert.  See the Owner’s Manual for instructions.  Also remove the grate and
the logs, if they were installed previously.

2.

Remove the four screws (ITEM 5) that are located in the top of the firebox of the X-62.  Set them aside for later.  See
FIGURE 1.

3.

Carefully unwrap the brick panels.  Set the rear brick panel (ITEM 1) in place in the back of the firebox — the cutout in
the bottom center of the panel must straddle the ledge in the back of the firebox, and the brick pattern must face forward.

NOTE:

The rear brick panel is held in place by the left and right brick panels.

DO NOT

let the rear panel fall forward

before the side panels are installed, or the rear panel might be damaged. See FIGURE 2.

4.

Set the left brick panel (ITEM 2) in place against the left side of the firebox — the rounded edge of the panel must face
forward, and the brick pattern must face outward.

CAUTION:

The panel fits tightly in the side of the firebox — work it

in very carefully, or the panel might be damaged (take special care of the upper outside corner).  To secure the panel in
place, screw one of the brick clips (ITEM 4) to the top of the firebox using two of the screws removed in step 2.  See
FIGURE 2.

5.

Set the right brick panel (ITEM 3) in place against the right side of the firebox.  Follow the instructions given in step 4
above.

6.

Replace the grate, the logs, and the fire screen.  See the Owner’s Manual for instructions.

DO NOT

 operate the X-62

without the fire screen in place.
