5.3 Computer as output medium__________________________________________
Logs and archives can also be kept by using a computer. This requires a suitable connection between the
serial port of the computer and the printer port of the steam sterilizer.
For data transfer and data processing to a computer you can install the program MELAtrace/MELAview on
your computer.
When the steam sterilizer has been connected to the computer you have to register it at the steam sterilizer.
The initialising of the computer has to be done as described in Section 5.2.2 but under step 6 the selection
"Computer" with the buttons "+" or "-" has to be made.
5.4 Employing other devices as output medium _____________________________
For installation and operation of other output devices (e.g. MELAflash CF-Card-Printer, MELAnet Box) you
find detailed information in the operating manual for the devices themselves.
In order to initialise the devices proceed as described in Section 5.2.2, under step 6 select "MELAflash" or
"MELAnet" in the "Function" menu as output medium.
5.5 No output medium __________________________________________________
In order to select the option "No output medium" proceed as described as in Section 5.2.2. Under Point 6,
however, use the "+" or "-" button to reach the setting "No output medium".
5.6 Output of the logs __________________________________________________
5.6.1 Automatic immediate log output ___________________________________________________
When a log printer or another output medium is fully installed, a log output can be produced automatically at
the end of each program run by selecting the following options after switching on the steam sterilizer:
