SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully before use!
Save these instructions for future reference.
WARNING!
The sweeper generates an electrical field during use. In some cases this field can disrupt
active or passive medical implants. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend persons
with medical implants consult their doctor and the manufacturer of the medical implant before using the
sweeper.
• Concepts used in the operating instructions: right, left, forward and backward refer to directions seen
from the user’s perspective during normal use.
• The sweeper may only be used in accordance with the instructions in the operating manual. All other
use is viewed as incorrect. Included in the intended use is that the user also follows the
manufacturer’s instructions for use, service and repairs.
• Incorrectly assembling, using or maintaining the sweeper can lead to serious injury or death. The user
and maintenance personnel must read this operating manual as well as other related instructions for
accessories and the motor before beginning assembly, use or maintenance. Follow all safety
instructions in this operating manual.
• Read all safety decals and safety messages in all operating manuals before you use or carry out
repairs on the sweeper. Always follow all rules pertaining to work safety, local regulations and other
rules which apply to use. Always follow rules for accident prevention measures when assembling,
disassembling, maintaining, repairing or using the sweeper.
• Familiarise yourself with the sweeper’s properties, measurements and operation before operating it.
Visually inspect the sweeper before starting it and only use the sweeper if it is in good condition and
the safety devices are working properly. Make sure that all parts are correctly in place and that the
locking pins, quick couplings and connections are correctly assembled and locked. Replace damaged,
fatigued or heavily worn parts. Check that all safety decals are correctly situated and legible. Keep the
decals clean and replace them if they are worn or illegible.
• Always use protective goggles or other eye and face protection when pins are mounted or dismounted
as well as when the sweeper stirs up dust, rubbish or other things that can cause injuries.
• Always use hearing protection!
• Do not work beneath the brush when it is lifted up if it not propped up. Do not use props made of
cement blocks, wooden blocks, pails, barrels or other objects that can collapse or suddenly change
position. Make sure that the props are solid and not in any way damaged. Lower the brush to floor
level or place it on a block. Lower the brush and accessories to floor level before you leave the site of
use.
